What we collect
- Order details from BigCommerce (order ID, subtotal, billing email and name)
- Tracking numbers and carrier scan events for shipments under coverage
- Claim details you submit, including descriptions and photos
- Communications with our team about your claim
How we use it
- To issue and administer your shipping protection policy
- To evaluate and resolve claims
- To detect fraud — patterns of multiple claims or evidence inconsistencies
- To send transactional email related to your policy or claim
AI processing
We use AI models to assist with claim triage. Your claim description and uploaded photos may be sent to our AI providers (currently Anthropic) for analysis. AI output is a recommendation only — humans approve final outcomes. Models do not retain your data for training.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data
- We don't use claim data for advertising
- We don't share with parties outside the resolution flow (carriers, payment processors as needed)
Data retention
Policy and claim records are retained for seven years from claim resolution for accounting and dispute purposes, then anonymized.
